De Novo Genome Assembly with AI-Assisted Data Analysis

Registration for this workshop is closed.
The workshop is hosted jointly by the BRC Bioinformatics, Genomics, and Flow Cytometry Facilities. It will cover the following topics:
Introduction to long-read sequencing technologies
Genome size estimation using flow cytometry
Hands-on project: AI agent-assisted de novo genome assembly and genome annotation
Format and Registration
The lecture (
Jacob B Landis, Julie Sahler
& Qi Sun) will be offered in person in Biotech B01 and simultaneously via Zoom. Zoom link will be sent out by email to registered users. The lecture will be recorded and made available online after the workshop.
Registration is required for participation in the hands-on project. You will have one week to finish the hands-on, no need to bring your laptop to the lecture room. There will be office hours to help you with the hands-on.
