Details for R (hide)
Name: | R |
Version: | 4.2.0 |
OS: | Linux |
About: | R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. |
Added: | 12/14/2011 10:47:08 AM |
Updated: | 5/24/2022 11:49:25 AM |
Link: | http://www.r-project.org/ |
Notes: | BioHPC provides multiple versions of R, including 2.13.0, 2.15.2, 3.0.2, 3.1.0, 3.2.5, 3.3.2, 3.4.2, 3.5.0, 3.5.0s, 3.5.2, 3.6.1, 3.6.3, 4.0.0, 4.0.5, 4.0.5clean, 4.1.2, 4.2.0. The default "R" command points to R v4.0.5. To list available versions.
module avail R
To load a particular version of R (use 3.6.1 as example here)
module load R/3.6.1
To unload and back to default R.
module unload R/3.6.1
Starting from R v4.0.5, BioHPC provides two separate installations of R: R-4.0.5 and R-4.0.5clean.
- R v4.0.5 installation includes many pre-installed R packages: Biocondutor, Seurat, sf, ggplot2, et al. Additional packages can be installed on request. Existence and version of a package can be checked with the command: packageVersion("packagename") to get package version, or packageDescription("packagename") to get the path of the package file.
- The R-4.0.5clean installation only includes R-base, with no additional packages. The "clean" installation is good for users who would like to manage their own packages (including BioConductor) in the user home directories (default "$HOME/R").
To use other versions of R (including openblas enabled R)
- Latest version through Docker
