Details for PyTorch (hide)

Name:PyTorch
Version:0.4.1
OS:Linux
About:A replacement for numpy to use the power of GPUs
Added:10/24/2017 4:15:33 PM
Updated:12/2/2018 11:47:27 AM
Link:http://pytorch.org/
Notes:

To use the PyTorch module, you need to set up the environment first:

export PATH=/programs/miniconda3/bin:$PATH

source activate pytorch

Pleast note: We recommend that you to install your own tensorflow for python2 or python3  using conda. It is easy, and compatible cuda is included.

The installation will be in your home directory.

1. If you do not have miniconda installed in your home directory, following these instructions to install miniconda: https://conda.io/miniconda.html .

2. After miniconda is installed, create a virtual environment named pytorch and with pytorch installed (including both CPU and GPU support)

   conda create -n pytorch pytorch -c anaconda

3. activate the environment:

source activate pytorch

4. Check pytorch is using gpu

python

>>> import torch
>>> torch.cuda.is_available()

## you should get True

 * to use pytorch with gpu on cbsubscbgpu* machines, either directly ssh to the machine, or use "qrsh -q gpu.q -l h_vmem=100G" (minimum 60G)
