Details for keras (hide)

Name:keras
Version:2.3.1
OS:Linux
About:Keras is a high-level neural networks API
Added:10/15/2018 3:56:30 PM
Updated:5/19/2020 3:29:51 PM
Link:https://github.com/keras-team/keras/releases
Notes:

## The conda environment for keras uses python 3.7.6.

Warning: If you run tensorflow on non-GPU machine, this version does not enable avx2, and very slow to run on CPU.

## Here are instructions how to run "keras" installed by BioHPC admin. However, we recommend that you install keras by yourself, so that you can add any extra python modules into your installation.

## start conda environment for keras

source /programs/miniconda3/bin/activate keras-gpu

## Now you can run keras in python 3

python
## check whether tensorflow uses GPU
import tensorflow as tf
tf.test.is_gpu_available()
## import keras
from tensorflow import keras

How to install keras by yourself

1. If you do not have miniconda installed in your home directory, follow these instructions to install miniconda: https://conda.io/miniconda.html (install Miniconda Linux 64-bit)

2. After miniconda3 is installed, install keras in a conda environment

source $HOME/miniconda3/bin/activate
conda create -c anaconda  -n keras-gpu keras-gpu

To use keras:

source ~/miniconda3/bin/activate keras-gpu

If you need to use the CPU version, use this command for installation "conda create -c anaconda -n keras keras"
