Instructions for Rocky 9

#set Singularity command shortcut ($PWD is used to set current directory as the working directory)

export EIG="singularity run -C -B $PWD --pwd $PWD /programs/EIG-8.0.0/eigensoft.sif"

# run command (the "$" character is needed in the command)

$EIG [prog] [options]

(where [prog] is one of the EIGENSOFT programs). 

# for example

$EIG smartpca -p example.pca.par >example.log

Instructions for CentOS 7

Run the software specifying the full path to tne binaries:

/programs/EIG7.2.1/bin/[prog] [options]
(where [prog] is one of EIGENSOFT programs)

You can also add the program to your
PATH:

export PATH=/programs/EIG7.2.1/bin:$PATH

and then use it directly by typing program name at the prompt.

Instructions for Rocky 8

Ececute the following command (once per session):

module load gcc/5.5.0

then run the software specifying the full path to tne binaries:

/programs/EIG7.2.1_rh8/bin/[prog] [options]

(where [prog] is one of the EIGENSOFT programs). 

You can also add the program to your PATH:

export PATH=/programs/EIG7.2.1_rh8/bin:$PATH

and then use it directly by typing program name at the prompt.

Older version of the package (EIG5.0.1) is available on CentOS 7 machines (just replace EIG7.2.1 with EIG5.0.1 in the CentOS 7 instructions above).
