Details for Shiny (If the copy-pasted commands do not work, use this tool to remove unwanted characters)

Name:Shiny
Version:
OS:Linux
About:Shiny is an R package that makes it easy to build interactive web apps straight from R.
Added:6/23/2020 5:00:48 PM
Updated:
Link:https://shiny.rstudio.com/
Notes:

Shiny is installed in a Docker image along with R and R-Studio.

Shiny 1.5.13.944
R 3.6.0-1
R-Studio 1.3.959

Shiny is open on port 3838 of the container and R-Studio on port 8016. You can map the container ports to server ports, we keep ports 8009-8039 opened to campus network for this purpose. You can also mount a local directory in the container to provide your Shiny/R with data. The example below enables access to Shiny on server port 8017 and access to R-Studio on server port 8016 with the local directory /workdir/jarekp/shiny mounted inside the container as /shinydata:

docker1 run -it -d --name shinyrstudio -v /workdir/jarekp/shiny:/shinydata -p 8017:3838 -p 8016:8016 biohpc/shinyrstudio /start.sh

In order to login to R-Studio you need to use built-in account rsuser and pasword biohpc. Once your conatiner is started you can change this password or add another user.
